Duhumurizanye Iwacu Rwanda (DIR) is a registered non-governmental organization (RGB Reg. No. 114/2014) dedicated to community transformation, psychosocial healing, and sustainable peace across Rwanda and Africa. Operating since 2012, DIR empowers vulnerable and impacted communities through evidence-based interventions. Notably, DIR pioneered the use of Community-Based Sociotherapy (CBS) in the Rubavu region to foster deep-rooted unity, reconciliation, and resilience—particularly among genocide survivors and perpetrators following the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
