Our Programs & Projects

Comprehensive, community-centered programs addressing healing, development, and sustainable transformation across Rwanda.

Mental Health Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS)

Comprehensive support aimed at protecting and promoting psychological well-being, preventing and treating mental health conditions, and offering comprehensive healing and recovery programs for individuals and communities affected by trauma, crisis, or adversity.

Community Based Sociotherapy (CBS) - Duhumurizanye

We offer facilitated, small-group peer spaces that foster emotional healing, social reconnection, and conflict transformation to restore trust and psychological well-being within families and local communities.

Marriage and Family Therapy

We offer systemic clinical counselling and relational support designed to help couples and families resolve conflicts, improve communication, heal from relational trauma, and foster healthy, supportive household environments.

Genocide Ideology Prevention

We offer community-led dialogue, intergenerational peace education, and social cohesion initiatives designed to deconstruct divisionism, heal historical wounds, and foster unity to prevent the transmission of genocidal mindsets.

Touching Hearts Transforming Communities (THTC)

We offer Bible-based, trauma-informed healing and reconciliation programs that equip leaders and communities with spiritual and psychosocial tools to heal historical wounds, foster forgiveness, and transform divided societies.

Self-Care & Debriefing

We offer structured psychosocial sessions and reflective spaces designed to help staff, caregivers, and peacebuilders process vicarious trauma, manage burnout, and build personal resilience to maintain their well-being.

Asset Based Community Development (ABCD)

A community-driven model that shifts the focus from local deficiencies to identifying, mobilizing, and leveraging inherent local strengths, skills, and resources to foster sustainable, self-reliant social and economic transformation.

Ibiraro by'Ubukire (Bridges of Wealth)

We offer village savings and loan groups, practical business and vocational training, micro-grant starter kits, and market access mentorship to empower vulnerable households to build sustainable income-generating enterprises.

Socio-Cultural Community-Based Tourism

We offer community-led cultural experiences, heritage storytelling, and traditional craft immersion that preserve local Rwandan heritage while generating sustainable income directly for local families and artisans.

The Gift That Releases

We help communities identify their strengths, address root challenges, and drive their own solutions through reflective dialogue and support networks. Through practical initiatives like local savings groups and conflict-resolution circles, participants gain vital skills and reclaim their agency. We transform mindsets from dependency to self-reliance—restoring dignity, rebuilding social cohesion, and sparking sustainable growth from within.

Bridges for Amazing Hope (BAHO)

Building pathways to hope and resilience through education, rehabilitation, and protection programs.

Promoting Education for Vulnerable Children & Girls

Through our community-led model, we strengthen educational access for vulnerable children in Rwanda by co-funding school feeding programs, covering essential fees, and leveraging local savings groups to relieve financial pressure on struggling families. To keep adolescent girls in school, we address key barriers to retention by supplying dignity kits, upgrading school health spaces (Icyumba cy'Umwari), and delivering mentorship and reflective dialogues that tackle the root causes of early dropout. By uniting financial support with community-driven solutions, we ensure every child—especially every girl—can stay in school, thrive, and build a self-reliant future.

Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Delinquent Youth

We help young people break free from substance abuse and delinquent behaviors by combining community-based counseling, family socio-therapy, and economic empowerment. Through restorative dialogues, we address root causes of delinquency and rebuild broken family and community trust, while offering practical TVET trade skills, entrepreneurship training, and youth savings groups to foster financial independence. Supported by peer mentorship and long-term aftercare, our approach prevents relapse, combats social stigma, and successfully transitions vulnerable youth from isolation into productive, dignified roles within their communities.

Protection of Women & Children's Rights

We safeguard women and children by integrating community-based GBV prevention, legal assistance, and socio-economic support into grassroots networks. Through couple socio-therapy, positive masculinity dialogues, and strengthened Inshuti z'Umuryango (Friends of the Family) child protection networks, we address the root causes of domestic abuse and child neglect before they escalate. We connect survivors directly with free legal aid, birth registration services, and Isange One Stop Centers, while establishing women's savings groups to eliminate financial dependency and secure land and property rights—ensuring every woman and child lives in safety, dignity, and justice.

Environmental Care, Education & Awareness

We build a culture of environmental stewardship across Rwanda by equipping youth, families, and community leaders with the knowledge and practical tools to protect their natural surroundings.

Environmental Education & Awareness

Through school-based Eco-Clubs, hands-on demonstration gardens, and climate literacy integrated into local community reflection groups, we transform environmental care into a shared priority.

Community-Led Environmental Action

By combining practical action on soil conservation, agroforestry, and clean energy with public campaigns during Umuganda and local radio broadcasts, we inspire mindsets that turn environmental awareness into lasting, community-led care for the land.

Active Bystandership & Servant Leadership Development (Sindebera)

Transformation begins when communities move from passive observation to active engagement. Through our Sindebera (Active Bystandership) initiative, we empower local leaders and community members to recognize and challenge toxic leadership—rejecting exploitation, corruption, and violence.

Servant Leadership Development

We cultivate visionary, servant leaders committed to promoting reconciliation, creating economic opportunities, and advocating for marginalized voices. By equipping ethical leaders to drive sustainable, community-led solutions, we build the foundation for a resilient and transformed nation.

Our Holistic Approach: Like Building a House

Foundation (Umusingi)

Touching Hearts Transforming Communities (THTC)

We begin with foundational workshops for survivors, offenders, and trauma-affected individuals. These 3-5 day intensive programs guide participants through grief, forgiveness, and reconciliation processes.

Structure (Mvura Nkuvure)

Community Based Sociotherapy

After the initial workshop, participants join weekly CBS groups for 15 sessions. These 3-hour gatherings provide ongoing support, creating a safe space where people share experiences, support one another emotionally and economically, and rebuild community trust.

Sustainability (Umusangiro)

Community Common Wealth

To sustain healing and prevent divisive factors, we address root causes of community fragmentation. Our integrated programs tackle poverty, malnutrition, health, education, and economic opportunities—creating comprehensive, lasting transformation.
